Lower Tuscohatchie Lake 9-16-2012

I-90 East. Exit 47.  Go over the freeway.  At the T, turn left to Pratt Lake trail head.  We met our hiking buddies at the trail head.  None of us had a GPS.  Sorry guys.  I thought it was only 8 miles, but we probably did about 12 miles today (4 miles to Pratt Lake saddle, 1.6 - 2 miles to Pratt Lake outlet, and 0.25 mile to Lower Tuscohatchie.  Started at 8am and finished at 3pm.  7 hours car to car.

Did you lose something?
Pratt Lake:  we stopped briefly for hydration
Talus field:  we tried to speed up by scrambling up but ended up being slower.
Cranberries: we found yummy cranberries but saved them for bears.
It was sunny but smoggy.  We could smell the smoke from forest fires in Wenatchee.  Next week, we should hike away from the forest fires.  Thinking about Surprise Lake, Glacier Lake, and Surprise Mountain off of HWY 2.  Will see who are interested.
We really enjoyed our new hiking buddies.  We hope they join us again.
